About me
Hi,
I'm Loïc, an industrial product design engineer and UX designer based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Coming from a highly technocentric industrial background, I realised the importance of integrating the human dimension into design to create safer, more enjoyable, and more inclusive products. This insight led me to specialise in designing solutions that address real user needs.
My 10-year journey across multiple domains in the industrial sector has brought me to the intersection of applied research and industrial innovation. I currently work at HE-Arc’s applied research institute on user-centred product design. Collaborating with industrial and academic partners, I oversee the UX aspects of numerous projects, including consumer and business applications as well as machine interfaces. In this context, I have had the opportunity to leverage a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research tools and methodologies. As manager of the institute’s user testing laboratory (UX-Lab), I design, conduct, and analyse a variety of user tests to optimise products and interfaces.
My approach combines technical rigour with creativity. I enjoy designing intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that balance graphical consistency and ergonomics while integrating principles of accessibility and inclusivity. My ability to translate research data into actionable design criteria ensures that the solutions I develop align with both user needs and business objectives.
What else? Oh yes! When I’m not busy crafting better user experiences, you’ll find me exploring the mountains, riding my bike, or spending time with my daughter.
